Overview:
Forsyth Barnes has partnered with a major pharmaceuticals company experiencing large growth in the technology department. They are looking for an experience Principal Software Engineer with a comprehensive understanding of software applications, tools, and experience working in Agile environments.
Responsibilities:
- Leads design, development, and testing of complex software systems, including cloud-based tools.
- Establishes coding specifications and defines technical vision for new projects.
- Develops technical/business strategies and enhances tools for implementation.
- Owns product/project rollouts, champions processes like Scrum, and manages risks.
- Provides expertise in software design and architecture, sharing solutions across teams.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Software Engineering – Full Stack
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) & certifications are advantageous
- Expertise in coding complex, strategic applications and experience with C, C++, UNIX/NT systems, HTML, XML, Perl, and Java.
- Experience in contributing to financial decisions and strong experience in leadership roles, including cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes (locally).
- Strong experience with Agile, Kubernetes, microservices, full-stack development, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), with a focus on performance, security, and mentoring.
